Epic has revealed the Fortnite PlayStation Cup, a series of in-game tournaments with cold hard cash on the line for winners on PS5 and PS4. Players can register starting today and jump into the fray when the PlayStation Cup premieres on October 2.

The PlayStation Cup will crown winners in both October and November in two separate tournaments, and each will have a prize pool of $113,400 on the line for the top scorers to split. Players are encouraged to check the in-game Compete menu to find their specific region’s start time this weekend.

Actor Vin Diesel seemed to suggest in 2019 that he would be in James Cameron’s Avatar movie series, but that will not be the case. Producer Jon Landau told Empire that Diesel’s visit to the Avatar movie set was purely because he was a fan, not because he was there to film anything.

“He came in, visited the set one day to see what we were doing and people took that out of context,” Landau said.

Diesel himself led fans to believe he might be in the Avatar sequels, saying at the time, “There is one person in Hollywood I’ve always wanted to work with and learn from, and so, all things come, I guess, to those that wait.”
